Belarus win five medals at 2021 ICF Canoe Sprint World Cup

MINSK, 17 May (BelTA) – Belarus won five medals at the 2021 ICF Canoe Sprint World Cup in Szeged, Hungary, BelTA has learned.

Mikita Borykau and Dzmitry Natynchyk clocked 1:32.47 to clinch silver in K2 men 500m. Gold went to Rodrigo Germade and Marcus Walz of Spain (1:31.82). Ukraine's Oleh Kukharyk and Dmytro Danylenko placed third (1:33.09).

Maksim Piatrou claimed silver in C1 Men 500m in 1:53.25. Moritz Adam of Germany won the event in 1:53.22. Third was Jose Ramon Pelier Cordova of Cuba (1:53.85).

Volha Klimava took the C1 Women 5000m silver with the overall time of 25.49,31. Gold went to Maria Mailliard of Chile (25.05,17). Cuba's Yarisleidis Duboys clocked 25.59.76 to collect bronze.

Maryna Litvinchuk, Nadzeya Papok, Volha Khudzenka and Ina Sauchuk secured silver in K4 Women 500m in 1:38.37. Germany won the event in 1:36.75. Third was Denmark (1:38.96).

Mikita Borykau, Dzmitry Natynchyk, Aliaksei Misiuchenka and Uladzislau Litvinau won bronze in K4 Men 500m in 1:23.93. Gold went to Spain (1:22.15). Germany placed second (1:22.80).
