Belarus win Children of Primorye hockey tournament

MINSK, 22 February (BelTA) – The ice hockey tournament has completed at the first international winter sports games Children of Primorye, BelTA has learned.

The 3x3 hockey tournament took place at Fetisov Arena in Vladivostok. U16 Team Belarus defeated the teams of Sakhalin Oblast 7-6, Amur Oblast 13-0 and China’s Qiqihar 12-0 in the group stage. 



Belarus defeated Uzbekistan 6-0 in the quarterfinal and edged Khabarovsk 4-3. In the final Belarus whitewashed the team of Primorye Territory 4-0.



The first international winter sports games Children of Primorye are featuring more than 1,000 young athletes from Primorye Territory, Far Eastern Federal District of the Russian Federation, as well as Belarus, China, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and Uzbekistan. Team Belarus comprises 28 athletes. The program of the competitions includes cross-country skiing, snowboarding, alpine skiing, curling, figure skating, short track, ice hockey and phygital hockey.
