Belarus to perform at 2020 Rhythmic Gymnastics European Championships

MINSK, 26 November (BelTA) – Team Belarus will perform at the 2020 Rhythmic Gymnastics European Championships in Kyiv, Ukraine, due on 26-29 November, BelTA learned from the Belarus Gymnastics Association.

The team features Belarus' leading gymnasts Alina Harnasko and Anastasiia Salos. Palina Slancheuskaya, Dina Agisheva and Yelizaveta Zorkina will compete in the junior events. Belarusian gymnasts will not perform in the groups events for health reasons.

All in all, 115 gymnasts from 23 countries will take part in the championships. There will be 24 seniors, 57 juniors and 6 groups. Athletes from Russia and Italy will not come to Kyiv because of quarantine restrictions. However, decorated gymnasts from other countries, like Linoy Ashram (Israel), Katrin Taseva and Boryana Kaleyn (Bulgaria), Yeva Meleshchuk and Viktoriia Onopriienko (Ukraine) will take part in the event.
