MINSK, 21 July (BelTA) - The international tournament in swimming, synchronized swimming and diving Solidarity Games starts in Russia's Kazan on 21 July, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Swimming Federation.
The Palace of Water Sports, the largest indoor aqua center in Russia, will host the swimming program. It will feature more than 700 athletes from 13 countries: Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Algeria, Armenia, Venezuela, Serbia, Vietnam, Syria, Sudan, Tajikistan, Ecuador and South Africa. Among the participants are 27 Belarusian swimmers, including the leader of the national team and the world record holder in the short course 100m breaststroke Ilya Shymanovich.
The tournament will last 5 days and will include 42 events: 34 individual and 8 relays.
