MINSK, 5 March (BelTA) – Belarus has seeded with the Czech Republic, Montenegro and Turkey for the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2021 Draw, BelTA has learned.
The other seeds are as follows:
Seed 1 – Spain, France, Belgium, Serbia;
Seed 2 – Sweden, Italy, Slovenia, Russia;
Seed 4 – Slovakia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Croatia.
The FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2021 Draw will take place in Valencia, Spain on 8 March 2021.
Sixteen teams will be divided into four quartets, the winners of which will advance into the quarterfinals. Teams, which take 2nd-3rd places, will play qualifying matches for quarterfinal spots.
The final round of the competitions will take place in Valencia, Spain and Strasbourg, France on 17-27 June. The previous championship was won by Spain that defeated France 86-66, bronze went to Serbia that beat the UK 81-55. Belarus' ever best achievement was the third place at its debut championship in Italy in 2007.
