MINSK, 4 October (BelTA) – Belarusian sambo judokas won seven medals at the international A category sambo tournament “Sambo Cup of the President of Tatarstan”, BelTA has learned.
Sviatlana Tsimashenka secured gold in the women's 80kg event. Silver medals went to Anfisa Kapayeva (50kg), Alena Kupava (54kg), Tatsiana Matsko (59kg), Karyna Shut (80kg), and Pavel Khladkikh (64kg). Dzmitry Khakhlou secured bronze (+98kg).
Competing in Kazan's tournament were 250 athletes from 19 countries. Belarus placed third in the medal table, behind Russia and Kazakhstan.
