Belarus, Russia mulling over new model of integration in sport

MINSK, 6 April (BelTA) - Russia and Belarus have started developing a new model of mutual integration in sports, President of the Russian Olympic Committee Stanislav Pozdnyakov wrote on his Telegram-channel, BelTA has learned

“One of the key principles - ‘together' - has recently come to the forefront in the Olympic movement. Unfortunately, it is interpreted in different ways, but we are convinced that the future of the sports movement is in unity. We will continue to show unity in sports, building bridges of friendship with our partners. Within the framework of cooperation with our colleagues from Belarus we have already begun to form a new model of mutual integration, which affects all the main areas of the Olympic agenda. The Russian Olympic Committee and the National Olympic Committee of Belarus are getting ready for the first working meeting. The agenda will be busy. Our delegation will be happy to participate in the events in Minsk, and we are always happy to see our counterparts from Belarus at the forums in Russia,” Stanislav Pozdnyakov wrote.

As BelTA reported earlier, the Athletes' Commission of the Russian Olympic Committee would take part in the National Athletes Forum, which is due in Minsk in late April.
