
MINSK, 7 July (BelTA) – President of the Belarusian National Olympic Committee (NOC) Viktor Lukashenko congratulated the Presidential Sports Club on its 20th anniversary, BelTA learned from the NOC press service.
On 7 July, the Presidential Sports Club celebrates its 20th anniversary. Viktor Lukashenko stressed that since founding the organization has been steadily gaining momentum successfully implementing a consistent strategy to support domestic sports.
“Thanks to the active position of the club, the younger generation has grown more engaged in regular physical activities and sport. Young athletes compete in such tournaments as Leather Ball, League of the Brave, Snow Sniper, Golden Puck, White Rook, Ball Over the Net and many other projects that open the doors to big sport for future champions. Many famous Belarusian athletes who have won medals at the most prestigious competitions have been once scholarship holders of the club. Over 20 years, thousands of young men and women have received support and have been able to fulfill their dreams, develop their talent and achieve success in various competitions,” the message of greetings reads.
