Belarus' Nellie Kim re-elected as FIG vice president

MINSK, 8 November (BelTA) – Belarusian representative Nellie Kim has been re-elected Vice President of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG). The elections were held at the 83rd FIG Congress in Antalya, Turkey, BelTA has learned.

Apart from Nellie Kim, Ali Al-Hitmi of Qatar and Suat Celen of Turkey were elected FIG vice presidents.

Earlier, 62-year-old Morinari Watanabe of Japan was re-elected as FIG President, beating Farid Gayibov of Azerbaijan.

2012 Olympic bronze medalist Liubou Charkashyna of Belarus, former head of the FIG Athletes Commission, was elected to FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics Technical Committee.

Many-time world champion Dmitri Poliaroush who took part in the elections to head the Trampoline Technical Committee, lost to France's Christophe Lambert, but remained as member of this governing body.
