Belarus name squad for 2021 IIHF World U18 Championship

MINSK, 16 April (BelTA) – The coaching staff of the Belarusian national junior ice hockey team led by Dmitry Shulga named the roster for the 2021 IIHF World U18 Championship, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation.

The lineup is as follows:

goalies: Ivan Zhigalov, Tikhon Chaika (both – Belarus U18), Yan Shostak (Minskiye Zubry);

defensemen: Dmitry Kuzmin (Dinamo Molodechno), Nikita Parfenyuk (Yunost), Ilya Gavrilov (Spartak Moscow, MHL), Daniil Rogach, Arseny Sazanovich, Nikita Stasenko, Maksim Sushchinsky (all – Belarus U18), Pavel Kamko (Metallurg, Russia);

forwards: Ivan Anoshko, Egor Ignatenko, Andrei Loshko, Miroslav Mikhalev, Ilya Morozov, Fyodor Nikolayenya, Zakhar Polshakov, Egor Sidorov, Daniil Sotishvili, Vladislav Shilo (all – Belarus U18), Egor Golubov (SKA Saint Petersburg U17), Egor Klavdiyev, German Yavash (both – Dinamo Molodechno), Danila Klimovich (Minskiye Zubry).

The Belarusian junior team will leave for the United States on 19 April. Belarus will open the championship against Sweden on 26 April. Belarus will play Switzerland on 27 April, Latvia on 29 April and Canada on 1 May.

The 2021 IIHF World U18 Championship will take place in Frisco, Texas on 26 April-6 May.
