MINSK, 6 February (BelTA) – Belokurikha, Altai Krai of Russia has played host to a regular leg of the Alpine Skiing Seria PRO, BelTA has learned.
Belarus’ best Alpine skier Maria Shkanova has clinched a second medal in Slalom as part of the ongoing Alpine Skiing Seria PRO competitions. The Belarusian finished second in the first attempt, just behind Vitalina Girina of Moscow Oblast. Maria Shkanova placed second in the second attempt, too. Vitalina Girina claimed gold, while Veronika Tsupikova from Altai Krai took bronze.
The first leg of the Seria PRO competitions took place in Russia’s Kirovsk in November 2023, where Maria Shkanova also placed second. The Belarusian also graced the Russian Alpine Skiing World Cup podium four times. The next leg of the Russian Alpine Skiing World Cup will take place in Belokurikha on 7 February. The Slalom event will take place in Chelyabinsk Oblast on 15 February as part of the 2024 Russian Winter Spartakiad of Best Athletes.
