Belarus learn rivals in FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Qualifier Europe

MINSK, 8 June (BelTA) – Belarus have learned their rivals in the Euro Beach Soccer League and the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Qualifier Europe, BelTA has learned.

At the 2021 Euro Beach Soccer League in Nazare, Portugal, Belarus will play in Group 3 against Spain (17 June), Russia (18 June) and Turkey (19 June).

On 21-27 June, also in Nazare, Belarus will face Spain, Poland and one of the winners of the preliminary qualifying stage as part the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Qualifier Europe. The final will be held in Moscow on 19-29 August. As for Belarus' opponents, Russia is a two-time world champion, a many-time Euroleague medalist, Spain – a three-time silver medalist of the world championships and a medalist of several Euroleague editions.

The Belarusian national team began preparations for the upcoming tournament on 8 June. The national roster consists of 13 players: goalkeepers - Konstantin Magaletsky, Vladimir Ustinovich (both - TsOR-Masita, Kirovsk), Stanislav Kleshchyuk (Dynamo Minsk); players Yury Petrovsky, Vadim Bokach, Ivan Konstantinov, Artemiy Drozd, Egor Gordetsky, Anton Akulich (all TsOR-Masita, Kirovsk), Oleg Gapon, Nikita Chaikovsky (both Grodnooblsport), Evgeny Novikov (Brest), Alexander Kirillov (Shchuchin).

The training camp will last through 15 June. Then, the team will travel to Portugal.
