Belarus, Latvia launch 2021 IIHF WC mascot design competition

MINSK, 19 September (BelTA) – The ice hockey federations of Belarus and Latvia have launched a competition for mascot design of the 2021 IIHF World Championship which will be co-hosted by the two countries. The competition will run from 18 September till 18 October 2019, BelTA learned from the website of the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation.

A special jury will select the winner and runners-up of the competition in December 2019. The number of applications for the mascot design competition is not limited. The jury will include representatives of the ice hockey federations of Belarus and Latvia, renowned athletes and celebrities. The winner of the competition will get a set of tickets to five games for two people and a tour of an official venue of the championship for two people ahead of one of the games.

Participants who will place second and third will win tickets to three games (with exception of the semi-finals and the final) and two games of the group stage correspondingly.
