MINSK, 19 July (BelTA) – The Belarusian female synchronized swimmer Vasilina Khandoshka has won a silver medal during the ongoing 2025 World Aquatics Championships in Singapore, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian team’s first medal at the 2025 World Aquatics Championships was won as part of the Women Solo Technical event. On Friday Vasilina Khandoshka came in second among 35 girls during qualifications. During the final stage held on 19 July the Belarusian swimmer scored 260.5416 points and won a silver medal. Huiyan Xu from China scored 272.9917 points and won a gold medal. Iris Tio Casas from Spain came third with 260.2917 points.
During the last year’s championships in Doha, Qatar Vasilina Khandoshka came in fourth in a technical event and won a bronze medal in a freestyle event. Solo swimmers will have qualifications tomorrow. The finals are scheduled for 22 July. On Monday Vasilina Khandoshka will be paired with Daria Fedoruk to compete for medals in the Women Duet Technical event.
