Belarus' Hanna Huskova awarded Olympic medal

BEIJING, 15 February (BelTA) - The Zhangjiakou Medals Plaza hosted the awards ceremony for the medalists in the Women's Aerials, where Belarus' Hanna Huskova claimed silver, BelTA has learned.

All the medalists of the 2022 Beijing Olympics receive the Games mascots and bouquets of flowers handmade from cashmere.

On 14 February Hanna Huskova produced a great jump to place second. China's Xu Mengtao clinched the Olympic champion title. Bronze went to Megan Nick of the United States.

Beijing 2022 became the third Olympic Games for the 29-year-old Belarusian. At the 2018 Winter Olympics Hanna Huskova claimed the Olympic champion title.

Hanna Huskova's silver became the eighth Olympic medal of the Belarusian freestyle skiing team. Dmitri Daschinski was the first Belarusian freestyle skier to reach the Olympic podium, winning bronze at the 1998 Nagano Games. Eight years later, in Turin in 2006, he claimed silver. Aleksei Grishin became the Belarusian first freestyle skiing Olympic champion, securing gold in Vancouver in 2010. Before that Aleksei Grishin won bronze in Salt Lake City in 2002. Anton Kushnir and Alla Tsuper won gold medals at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi. Four years later, Hanna Huskova claimed gold in Pyeongchang.
