MINSK, 4 February (BelTA) – Belarus secured a win in their penultimate match in the FIBA Women's EuroBasket Qualifiers 2021, BelTA has learned.
Following yesterday's 56-68 defeat to Poland, Belarus took a 67-56 win over the UK on 4 February. Yuliya Rytsikava led her team with 17 points, Katsiaryna Snytsina scored 16, while Anastasiya Verameyenka - 15. In the first round Belarus defeated the UK in Manchester 90-59.
Belarus will play their final game against Poland on 6 February.
Group F standings are as follows: Great Britain – 6 points (four games played), Belarus – 5 (3), Poland – 4 (3).
Winners of nine groups and five best runners-up will advance to the final.
The 2021 European Women Basketball Championship will take place in Spain and France on 17-27 June 2021.
