MINSK, 12 May (BelTA) – Belarusian athletes won four medals at the 2021 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup in Baku, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Gymnastics Association.
Belarus scored a total of 81,900 points to place third in the All-Around Team event. Bulgaria celebrated the victory with 88,150 points. Silver went to Italy (84,250 points).
Daria Trubnikova of Russia scored 98,800 points to win the Individual All-Around event. Second was Boryana Kaleyn from Bulgaria (98,525). bronze went to Russia's Lala Kramarenko (97,600 points). Belarus' Alina Harnasko placed sixth, while her teammate Katsiaryna Halkina 21st.
On the second competition day the Belarusian athletes won three more medals. Alina Harnasko took bronze with the Hoop (26,600 points), finishing behind Linoy Ashram of Israel (27,150 points) and Russia's Lala Kramarenko (26,850).
Alina Harnasko claimed silver with the Ribbon (23,450 points). Gold went to Boryana Kaleyn from Bulgaria (24,300 points).
Belarus won another bronze with the Hoops and Clubs, scoring a total of 39,850 points. Gold went to Bulgaria (43,150). Italy collected silver (41,900).
The next World Cup is due to take place in Pesaro, Italy in late May.
