Belarus clinch 6 gold medals on We Are Together. Sports day four

MINSK, 7 October (BelTA) - Belarus is taking part in the Summer Paralympic Games We Are Together. Sports in Sochi, BelTA has learned.

On the fourth day of the competitions Belarusian athletes won six gold, seven silver and three bronze medals. Champion titles went to Ihar Boki (100m backstroke, 200m medley, S13), Aliaksei Talai (200m freestyle, S1), Hryhory Zudzilau (200m medley, SM11), Anastasiya Zudzilava (100m breaststroke, SB13) and Aleksandra Kozlova (100m butterfly, S10). Aleksandra Kozlova also collected bronze in 100m freestyle.

Silver medals were collected by Uladzislau Hryb (discus throw, F51-F52), Siarhei Sauchyts (long jump, T13), Yuliya Nezhura (shot put, F54), and also swimmers Maksim Vashkevich (100m backstroke, S12), Uladzimir Sotnikau (100m backstroke, S13), Anastasiya Rasolko (50m freestyle, S13), and Yahor Shchalkanau (100m backstroke, S9). Yahor Shchalkanau also clinched bronze in 200m medley. Bronze medals also went to Belarusian fencers Anastasiya Kastsiuchkova, Katsiaryna Myshko and Kristina Feklistova.

Belarus has so far won 42 (17-13-12) medals at the Paralympic Games We Are Together. Sports which are underway in Sochi through 9 October. Athletes from 11 countries compete in nine summer sports: athletics, swimming, table tennis, archery, taekwondo, wheelchair fencing, football, draughts and chess.
