MINSK, 4 September (BelTA) – Marina Arzamasova of Belarus placed fifth in the women's 800m Diamond Race at the IAAF Diamond League athletics meeting in Zurich, BelTA informs.
Eunice Sum of Kenya celebrated the win in 1:59.14. Coming in second was Lynsey Sharp of Great Britain (1:59.37). Bronze went to German's Fabienne Kohlmann (1:59.68). Marina Arzamasova covered the distance in 2:00.69.
The Belarusian was seven and eighth at the IAAF Diamond League meetings in Shanghai and Eugene respectively. Marina Arzamasova won the 800m gold at the 2015 IAAF World Championships in Beijing.
Belarusian shot putter Alena Dubitskaya was sixth with her best attempt of 17.74m.
The IAAF Diamond League final meeting will take place in Brussels on 11 September.
