MINSK, 5 January (BelTA) – The Belarusian government has approved a calendar of international competitions to be held in Belarus in 2021. The relevant Resolution No.791 was issued on 30 December 2020 and published at the national legal internet portal on 5 January, BelTA has learned.
In 2021 the Belarusian capital will host such events as the UEC Track European Championships (17-21 February), one of the European Cheerleader League events (2-4 April), the UIPM World Modern Pentathlon Championships (5-14 June) and the UIPM Laser Run World Championships (9-14 June). The Minsk Open Snooker Cup and the 2021 Europe Triathlon Baltic Championships Minsk are scheduled for July. The 2021/2022 Belarus Ice Hockey Cup (Ruslan Salei Cup) will be held in July and August.
The calendar of events also includes the final of the 2021 UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship (21 July - 2 August), the UEC MTB European Championships (9-15 August), the 50th edition of the international freestyle wrestling tournament for Aleksandr Medved prizes (14-17 September), World Sub-Junior, Junior & Open Classic Powerlifting Championships (23 September - 3 October) and other competitions.
The Belarusian capital is also scheduled to play host to the FEI Dressage World Cup 2020-2021 on 13-17 October and the international dressage qualifying event (14-18 April).
The resolution came into force on 1 January 2021.
