Belarus 98th in FIFA rankings

MINSK, 3 April (BelTA) - The Belarusian national football team goes 98th in the latest rankings released by the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), BelTA has learned.

In March 2025 Belarus held two successful test matches. Carlos Alos’ team whitewashed Tajikistan 5-0 in Dushanbe and blanked Azerbaijan 2-0 in Baku. Now the Belarusian national team has 1235.36 points. In the sovereign history, the highest position that Belarus held in the FIFA ranking was the 36th place in February 2011. The Belarusians will be back in action in early June and are set to kick off their run in the European Qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in autumn. In Group C Belarus will face Denmark (World No.21), Greece (40) and Scotland (44).

The next FIFA rankings will be published on 10 July 2025.

Belarus is 52nd in the FIFA women’s rankings with 1494 points. The list is topped by the United States. Top Five also comprise Spain, Germany, England and Japan. The next women’s rankings will be published on 12 June 2025.
