BEIJING, 16 February (BelTA) – The Belarusian team of Iryna Leshchanka, Dzinara Alimbekava, Elena Kruchinkina and Hanna Sola finished 13th in the Women's 4x6km Relay at the 2022 Beijing Olympic Games. Sweden claimed gold. Silver went to Russia, and bronze to Germany, BelTA has learned.
Iryna Leshchanka shot clean in the prone and used two spare rounds to tag Dzinara Alimbekava in the 11th position. Dzinara Alimbekava also shot clean in the prone but had to make one penalty loop to complete her run 11th. Elena Kruchinkina missed three targets in the prone and made three penalty loops after the standing stage to tag Belarusian anchor Hanna Sola in the 14th. Hanna Sola crossed the finish line 13th. Belarus finished 5:30.5 behind the winning team that clocked 1:11.03.9. Russia was 12 seconds behind the winner. Germany finished 37.4 seconds back.
The Men's Mass Start is scheduled for 18 February, the Women's Mass Start is due on 19 February. Belarus will be represented by silver medalist Anton Smolski, Dzinara Alimbekava and Hanna Sola.
