MINSK, 4 March (BelTA) – Belarus' world number 14 Victoria Azarenka reached the Qatar Total Open semifinal with a straight-set victory, 6-2, 6-4, over world number 5 Elina Svitolina of Ukraine, BelTA has learned.
The match lasted for an hour and 20 minutes. In the semifinal the Belarusian will face Spain's world number 16 Garbine Muguruza.
Victoria Azarenka saw off Russia's world number 39 Svetlana Kuznetsova, 6-2, 6-3, in the opener and powered past Germany's world number 56 Laura Siegemund, 6-4, 6-2.
