
MINSK, 22 May (BelTA) - The general meeting of the Belarusian Wrestling Federation was held at the headquarters of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus on 22 May, BelTA learned from the NOC press service.
Two-time world champion Alim Selimov will continue to head the public association.
Belarusian wrestlers have successfully performed at important international starts, except for the Games in Paris as the women's team leaders and many top freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestlers, who earned Olympic licenses, were banned from competing.
During the general meeting it was noted that the wrestling federation has significantly increased the number of competitions for young athletes. The League of the Brave tournament has become one of the major events for several seasons.
