MINSK, 6 January (BelTA) - All issues related to the conduct of the 2021 IIHF World Championship in Belarus are regulated by presidential decree No.10 of 10 January 2020, including visa-free entry to Belarus for the tournament participants and fans, BelTA learned from the press service of the government.
Resolution No.791 of the Council of Ministers of 30 December 2020 “On the calendar of international sport events in Belarus in 2021” exempts participants of sport events (athletes, coaches and other members of sport delegations) from the consular fee when obtaining the Belarusian visa.
“Visa-free entry to Belarus for the 2021 IIHF World Championship participants and fans has been enforced by presidential decree No.10 of 10 January 2020. Therefore, there was no need to include the 2021 IIHF World Championship in the calendar of international sport events to be held in Belarus in 2021,” the press service said.
