MINSK, 28 July (BelTA) – Alina Zmushka of Belarus has made it to the finals of the 2025 World Aquatics Championships in Singapore, BelTA has learned.
On Monday, 28 July, the Belarusian competed in the 100m breaststroke event. During the morning preliminaries, she placed 16th among 56 swimmers, securing the last qualifying spot for the semifinals. In the afternoon semifinal, the Belarusian finished fourth with a time of 1:06.09, earning her place in tomorrow's final. She will compete for medals against swimmers from the USA, Russia, Italy, China, Japan, Germany and Lithuania.
In another event, Belarus’ Anastasia Shkurdai placed seventh in her 100m backstroke semifinal clocking 1:00.46, ranking 15th overall at this stage. On Tuesday, 29 July, Ilya Shymanovich of Belarus will compete in the 50m breaststroke preliminary heats.
