Zubrenok recuperation center to welcome Egyptian children in August

MINSK, 23 July (BelTA) – Forty-six children from Egypt will come to Belarus to spend summer holidays at the Belarusian national education and recuperation center Zubrenok. The matter was discussed at the meeting of Belarusian Education Minister Igor Karpenko with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Republic of Belarus with residence in Moscow Ihab Nasr, BelTA learned from the press center of the Education Ministry.

The children will come to Belarus upon the invitation of Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko. The minister told the diplomat about the activities the children will be offered at the center. The children will be able to learn more about Belarusian history, national traditions, cultural heritage and places of interest. They will go on excursions to Minsk, Mir Castle and Nesvizh Castle, and Nanosy-Novoselie local heritage complex in Myadel District. The children will also visit Belarusian State University and Belarusian State Technological University.

The parties also discussed educational partnerships. Igor Karpenko suggested training Egyptian specialists in Belarus. “Belarus has preserved the system of vocational training, with a broad range of competences covering all sectors of the economy. Resource centers were set up to teach skills the modern-day economy needs the most. Belarus could open such a center in Egypt and provide it with scientific and methodological support and the teaching staff,” the minister added.
