MINSK, 15 September (BelTA) – Youth crews have harvested more than 846,000 tonnes of grain, head of the project activity department of the Central Committee of the BRSM Youth Union Aleksandra Lugovskaya told BelTA.
“Among youth crews there are 315 crews who harvested 1,000 tonnes each, 46 who harvested 2,000 tonnes, six crews that cropped 3,000 tonnes and two crews that harvested 4,000 tonnes of grain. The leader is the youth crew of Leonid Alekseyenko and Sergey Kolbasov from the Zaozerye farm of the Vitebsk Meat Processing Plant, who cropped 4,311 tonnes of grain. A total of 243 young drivers transported 1,000 tonnes and more of grain, 60 – transported over 2,000 tonnes, 10 - over 3,000 tonnes and two - over 4,000 tonnes. The best young driver is Pavel Tikhonov from Amkodor-Shklov, who transported 4,805 tonnes of grain,” said Aleksandra Lugovskaya. Youth crews and young drivers in Brest Oblast, Grodno Oblast and Minsk Oblast have already completed the harvesting campaign.
The BRSM Youth Union is the organizer of the nationwide project Youth - for Harvest. Competitions are held in the following nominations: “Best Youth Crew of Harvesters” and “Best Young Driver”. The project provides for a comprehensive information campaign on the official internet resources of the BRSM Youth Union, and social networks.
