MINSK, 27 January (BelTA) – The Belarusian State Television and Radio Company has announced the launch of the X Factor project in Belarus, head of the state-run media company Ivan Eismont told BelTA.
“We started discussing this possibility about 2.5 years ago. We need this kind of TV shows. We wanted to try things that work well all over the world. With this in mind we purchased the rights for broadcasting this project in the territory of Belarus. Several weeks ago we signed a contract we had been working on for a long time. On 26 January we announced auditions,” Ivan Eismont said.
The cities where the auditions will be held have already been determined. “We are now waiting for confirmation from the venues where we plan to arrange the auditions. As soon as we get the go-ahead, we will announce the schedule of auditions. The auditions will take place in 10-12 cities,” Ivan Eismont informed.
In his words, the auditions will kick off in mid-March. “Those who will not be able to turn up can submit their video applications online using a special section on our website. This format allows us not only to select the talent among those who will show up at the auditions, but also to find the talent on our own,” Ivan Eismont added.
The project will go on the air in autumn.
