Work to implement CSTO Collective Security Council decisions in progress

MOSCOW, 15 December (BelTA) – A plan is being prepared on implementing the decisions the heads of state of the Collective Security Treaty Organization made at the session of the CSTO Collective Security Council on 2 December. Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Stanislav Zas made the statement as he met with Ambassador of Tajikistan to Russia Imomuddin Sattorov on 15 December, BelTA has learned.

Stanislav Zas and Imomuddin Sattorov discussed matters concerning the realization of priorities of Tajikistan's presidency in the Collective Security Treaty Organization in 2020-2021. Opinions about topical problems of mutual interest were exchanged. Stanislav Zas told Imomuddin Sattorov that the CSTO Secretariat is working on a plan on implementing decisions of the CSTO Collective Security Council session and Tajikistan's priorities. The plan will be added to the agenda of the next session of the CSTO Permanent Council for approval soon. Then the document will be forwarded to Chairman of the CSTO Collective Security Council, Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon for approval.

Stanislav Zas mentioned that Tajikistan's priorities are important for the CSTO's activities, which affect political cooperation, military cooperation, military technology cooperation, and interaction in the sphere of counteraction of challenges and threats.

Imomuddin Sattorov told Stanislav Zas about the situation at the Tajikistan-Afghanistan border, which in his opinion is fully under control of Tajik defense and law enforcement agencies. The sides agreed to keep in touch in the future.
