MINSK, 25 August (BelTA) – Citizens will be able to use personal identification cards to log in to the nationwide automated information system OAIS, BelTA learned from the Communications and Informatization Ministry website.
According to the source, work is in progress to develop the nationwide automated information system, which will be the core of the digital government system. Work also continues to create a platform for interaction between government agencies and create a Belarusian integrated system for services and transactions. The modernization of the nationwide automated information system is supposed to enable additional functionality in 2020. In particular, it will become possible to use personal identification cards to log in to the system.
Apart from that, users of the nationwide automated information system will be able to access their personal area and secure email to get detailed information about digital services. Interaction between government agencies will be enabled in the form of internal digital services. A platform will also be created to exchange digital documents, messages, and other kinds of data between government agencies and organizations, the population, private businesses, and subjects of other countries.
The work to develop the platform for interaction between government agencies provides for integrating the existing standalone systems into one system in addition to creating new ones. The work will enable the exchange of digital documents between agencies, exchange of consignment notes, data sharing with the integrated information system of the Eurasian Economic Union, the processing of complaints, queries, and petitions of citizens. The work will also allow citizens of Belarus to use secure email.
