MINSK, 26 November (BelTA) - The humanitarian cargo from the WHO regional office arrived in Belarus, BelTA learned from the press service of the Healthcare Ministry.
This is the assistance to migrants who are currently living in the transport and logistics center on the Belarusian-Polish border, Deputy Healthcare Minister Boris Androsyuk noted.
The cargo consists the interagency emergency health kits with medicines, consumables and equipment. They are used to treat the most frequent non-communicable diseases. They include about medicines of different groups: antibacterial, gastroprotective, antipyretic, hypotensive, anti-allergic, anticonvulsant, hormonal, antifungal, bronchodilator, antiseptic medicines, vitamins and others. "The cargo also includes about 100 items of consumables and equipment: dressing materials, medical instruments, glucometers, thermometers, ottoscopes, tonometers and many more,” the press service added.
This cargo is designed to assist an average of 10,000 people for three months. The recipient of the humanitarian aid in Belarus will be the Belarus Red Cross Society.
