‘We are a ‘biological problem’ to them’. Expert on West's attitude towards Slavs

MINSK, 31 August (BelTA) - Slavs represent a “biological problem” for the West, economist and analyst Sergei Banar said in a new episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel.
Speaking about the West's attitude towards Slavic peoples, Sergei Banar provided the following historical example. The expert referred to declassified records of negotiations between the leaders of Germany and Romania - Adolf Hitler and Ion Antonescu. A statement was made there that the USSR was not an ideological, but a biological problem.

“One must proceed from this thesis: we are a ‘biological problem’ to them. Any security guarantees, agreements, and so forth will be in effect only until the West once again believes in its military, economic, and propaganda superiority,” Sergei Banar is confident. In his opinion, any treaties in geopolitics are valid only as long as they are beneficial to the agreeing parties.

“There is another problem. With our mentality, words like ‘honor’ and ‘dignity’ play a very important role. That is how it has developed in our culture,” Sergei Banar emphasized. “As for the West, honor and dignity play the role of a screen there, behind which all nastiness is hidden. Therefore, there can be no talk of any trust in the West.”
