MOSCOW, 19 May (BelTA) – Consultations on improving the equipment of the CSTO peacekeeping forces took place in the CSTO Joint Staff on 18-19 May, the staff's press service told BelTA.
Representatives of the defense ministries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization member states discussed matters concerning the equipment of the CSTO peacekeeping forces with modern weapons, military and special hardware, and special gear. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, Aviation Major-General Turaly Koishikulov.
The sides polished and reconciled a draft document, which takes into account proposals submitted as a result of the intrastate approval process. Participants of the consultations noted that this direction will contribute to the development of components of the CSTO collective forces and will have a positive impact on their readiness to carry out assigned missions.
