MINSK, 29 December (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has instructed the country’s security agencies to ensure safety during the Christmas and New Year holidays, State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Aleksandr Volfovich told the Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA has learned.
“The president, like everyone in uniform, is concerned with the most important task, which is ensuring security and a good celebration of the holidays so that people do not feel any inconvenience or discomfort. Personnel in uniform, naturally, are on enhanced duty starting from the state border. The president has set the main task: ensure that people do not think about those in uniform during the holidays. Probably, the best reward and praise for those in uniform will be if everything remains calm,” Aleksandr Volfovich said.
