Volfovich: Belarusian forces and assets are ready to counter risks, threats

MINSK, 19 November (BelTA) - The forces and assets of the subjects of the Belarusian national security system are ready to perform any tasks, to counter any risks and threats, State Secretary of the Belarusian Security Council  Aleksandr Volfovich said, BelTA learned from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

As it has been reported, the command and staff exercise is running in Belarus with the participation of subjects of the state response system on 19- 22 November. It was launched on the instruction of the Belarusian president, under the auspices of the State Secretariat of the Security Council, under the leadership of the Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Kubrakov. 

State Secretary of the Security Council Aleksandr Volfovich is taking part in the exercise. "Today, in accordance with the instructions of the head of state, the Ministry of Internal Affairs launched the command and staff exercise. Their main goal is to check the readiness and ability of all subjects of the national security system, other authorized state bodies to perform tasks in accordance with their purpose," Aleksandr Volfovich said.

Military equipment and personnel in full gear will be using public roads during the exercise, Aleksandr Volfovich noted. 

"There is no need to be concerned about this: the event is routine, aims to check the ability and readiness of the forces and assets that are part of the state system for responding to acts of terrorism, fulfilling their tasks. The situation around our country has aggravated. Our opponents, primarily abroad, cannot calm down and are using all the levers and opportunities to destabilize the situation again. I am sure that today our forces and assets are ready to perform any tasks, to counter risks and threats, and act competently and professionally to ensure stability, security and peace on our land," Aleksandr Volfovich stressed.
