Volfovich: Belarus, Iran have same views on building multipolar world

MINSK, 13 September (BelTA) – Belarus and Iran have the same views regarding the formation of a multipolar world, State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Aleksandr Volfovich told journalists at a meeting with Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran (SNSC) Ali Akbar Ahmadian, BelTA has learned.

“I am truly glad to meet you in person on Belarusian soil. Belarus views Iran as a friendly nation with which we have common interests today. Our closer cooperation will indeed contribute to  peace and security in our countries and in the world as a whole,” Aleksandr Volfovich said.

The state secretary of the Security Council noted that Belarus and Iran have the same views on building a multipolar world, are staunch advocates for the development of states, their sovereignty, territorial integrity, and respect for the interests of other nations.

“The president of Belarus spoke about this at the Palace of Independence, and you also confirmed this point of view,” Aleksandr Volfovich emphasized.
