Volfovich: Belarus has preserved peace and stability amid hysteria around it

MINSK, 20 February (BelTA) – Despite the attempts to whip up hysteria around Belarus, the country has managed to maintain peace and socio-political stability, State Secretary of the Security Council Aleksandr Volfovich said at a large meeting with the senior staff of the national security agencies in Minsk on 20 February, BelTA has learned.

“Over the past three years, all the elements of the national security system have undergone dramatic transformations,” emphasized Aleksandr Volfovich. “The leadership and personnel of all the elements of the security bloc have learned from their mistakes. They took a fresh look at their tasks and capabilities, assessed the available forces and means. And most importantly, they identified what to pay priority attention to,” he noted.

According to Aleksandr Volfovich, the year 2023 was a tipping point for the national security system.

“We have reached a certain point when the accumulated knowledge, experience and skills need to be translated into practice. And this should be done as efficiently as possible,” said Aleksandr Volfovich.

“A comprehensive analysis of information and evaluation of the outcomes of inspections carried out by decision of the president suggest that law enforcement, military and security agencies are capable of and ready to fulfil their tasks in today’s conditions,” Aleksandr Volfovich said.

He went on saying: “High morale of the personnel is the most important indicator.”

“The main thing is the following: despite the whipping up of hysteria around Belarus, the country has managed to maintain peace and socio-political stability,” Aleksandr Volfovich said.
