
MINSK, 21 May (BelTA) - Belarus demonstrates the latest in the defense industry on the exhibition grounds, not on the battlefield, State Secretary of the Belarusian Security Council Aleksandr Volfovich said at the opening of the 12th edition of the international arms and defense technology expo MILEX 2025 in Minsk, BelTA learned.
"On behalf of the State Secretariat of the Security Council I would like to warmly welcome everyone to MILEX 2025 forum," Aleksandr Volfovich said as he addressed the guests and participants of the expo.
According to the chief of the Security Council, it is symbolic that in the year of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory our country welcomes guests, and above all friends, in a new exhibition complex - the Minsk International Exhibition Center.
"This event once again confirms our country's commitment to its peace-loving principle: to demonstrate the novelties of the economy and, above all, of our country's defense industry on the exhibition grounds, not on the battlefield," Aleksandr Volfovich emphasized. “This event is not just a review of novelties of defense enterprises of our countries. It is another step on the path towards stronger military and technical cooperation and a constructive dialogue with our partners.”
Aleksandr Volfovich noted that Belarus's policy of mutually beneficial cooperation is much needed today and draws special interest among our foreign partners. This representative international forum provides a unique opportunity for a wide range of specialists and experts to see the novelties of the Belarusian defense industry and foreign enterprises, to exchange professional opinions, and work out together the future areas of development of the global defense industry.


He wished all the exhibitors fruitful work, mutually beneficial contracts and good mood, and the visitors to the expo - bright impressions and emotions. In conclusion, Aleksandr Volfovich read out the greetings of the Belarusian president to the exhibitors and guests of MILEX 2025.
