MINSK, 17 May (BelTA) – The 11th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia focusing on the role of interregional cooperation in building an innovative economy of the Union State will take place in Vitebsk, Polotsk, and Novopolotsk on 27-28 June, the press service of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus told BelTA.
Exhibition events and presentation events will take place on the days of the forum in addition to panel sessions and cultural program events. Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Natalya Kochanova and Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko are expected to meet with heads of government agencies of the two countries. A plenary session of the 11th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia will take place. Agreements on cooperation will be signed as well as commercial contracts and other documents at all the venues of the forum.
The forum has been organized by the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus and the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
