MINSK, 14 April (BelTA) – On 14 April, the delegation of the State Secretariat of the Security Council under the President of Uzbekistan led by Secretary of the Security Council Viktor Makhmudov visited the Education Center of Life Safety of the Belarusian Emergencies Ministry to get familiar with its operation. The event took place within the framework of the delegation's official visit to Belarus, BelTA learned from the press service of the Emergencies Ministry.
Viktor Makhmudov was informed about stages of the establishment of regional educational centers of life security of the Emergencies Ministry as well as with modern methods to raise awareness of life safety among the population. The center features a special facility with gaming and didactic materials, where children demonstrated their skills and knowledge in the field of life safety. High school and university students spoke about their experience of taking part in activities organized by the Emergencies Ministry. Representatives of the educational center also briefed Uzbekistan's delegation about its information campaigns and interactive simulators.
During the visit to the educational center, the delegation of Uzbekistan also got familiar with work of more than 30 interactive facilities that use modern information technology, digital environment, augmented and virtual reality, which helps students immerse in the environment that imitates emergency situations and master the curriculum thanks to increased emotional involvement in the simulated situation.
After the tour of the center, the parties held a ceremony to hand over the signed documents: the action plan to develop cooperation between the emergencies ministries of Belarus and Uzbekistan for 2021-2022 and the memorandum of cooperation between the fire safety and emergencies research institutes of the two ministries. Viktor Makhmudov thanked Belarusian Emergencies Minister Vadim Sinyavsky for the high level of cooperation and expressed gratitude to Belarusian rescuers for their expert assistance in the development of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan.
