MINSK, 12 April (BelTA) - The Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus of the eighth convocation selected chairmen of its standing commissions, BelTA has learned.
The new Council of the Republic convened for the first sitting of the first session on 12 April.
Mikhail Rusy was selected Chairman of the Standing Commission on Legislation and State Building.
Vladislav Tatarinovich was voted Chairman of the Standing Commission on Economy, Budget and Finance.
Igor Lutsky was picked up as Chairman of the Standing Commission on Education, Science, Culture and Social Development.
Leonid Zayats was selected Chairman of the Standing Commission on Regional Policy and Local Self-Government.
Sergei Sivets was selected Chairman of the Standing Commission on International Affairs and National Security.
