MINSK, 13 June (BelTA) - The University of Civil Protection of the Emergencies Ministry of Belarus and Zimbabwe National Defense University have signed a memorandum of cooperation, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Emergencies Ministry.
The document was signed during the visit of a delegation from Zimbabwe National Defense University, led by Vice Rector, Air Vice Marshal Michael T. Moyo. The delegation got familiar with the educational process and the training and laboratory facilities of the University of Civil Protection of the Belarusian Emergencies Ministry. The focus of attention was on the training of specialists for emergencies units, and also on scientific activities of the university. The university demonstrated the developed software products used in the educational process.
Michael T. Moyo highly appreciated the level of educational and scientific achievements of the University of Civil Protection of the Emergencies Ministry. According to him, the visit left positive impressions, and he expressed confidence that the signing of the memorandum would become the basis for further cooperation between the educational institutions of the two countries.
The memorandum envisages exchange of experience in training specialists on emergency situations, joint research and development, as well as organization of mutual visits and internships. The memorandum opens new opportunities for the exchange of advanced technologies and methods of training specialists.
