Union State MPs to study Belarus and Russia's COVID-19 track record

MOSCOW, 23 September (BelTA) – The commission on social and youth policy, science, culture and humanitarian matters of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia will hold a videoconference meeting on 25 September, BelTA learned from the PA press service.

"The MPs will be briefed on Belarus and Russia's response to the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19)," the press service said.

The MPs will also revise the status of implementation of the programs, projects and activities of the Union State in the field of social policy in 2019, discuss the progress in their implementation in 2020 and plans for 2021, and will consider the activities of the Youth Chamber at the Parliamentary Assembly.

"Due to the current epidemiological situation, the meeting will be held online. The meeting will feature members of the Parliamentary Assembly, representatives of the Standing Committee of the Union State, ministries of healthcare and culture of Belarus and Russia, members of the Youth Chamber at the Parliamentary Assembly," the press service added.
