MOSCOW, 19 May (BelTA) - The High Level Group of the Union State Council of Ministers will meet in Smolensk, Russia on 28 May, BelTA learned from the Permanent Committee of the Union State of Belarus and Russia.
"At its regular meeting the Permanent Committee of the Union State reviewed the preparations for the meeting of the High Level Group of the Council of Ministers of the Union State due in Smolensk on 28 May 2025. The findings of the Permanent Committee on the draft agenda of the High Level Group meeting were approved," the Permanent Committee informed.
The committee decided to further study the comments from the Economy Ministry of Belarus "On the progress in the efforts to assign the products made in Belarus and Russia the status of goods made in the Union State", to hold a conciliatory meeting “On the export of certain categories of timber placed under the customs procedure of export in the Republic of Belarus with navigation seals.”

"A decision was taken to further elaborate the issue regarding the replacement of software from unfriendly countries at public sector enterprises and the list of measures to ensure digital sovereignty of the Union State in the manufacturing sector,” the Permanent Committee added.
