Ukrainian MP: The EU has made adjustments to Trump’s plan to end the conflict in Ukraine

MINSK, 7 June (BelTA) – The European Union’s stance has resulted in adjustments of Trump’s plan to end the conflict in Ukraine. The Ukrainian MP Artyom Dmitruk made the relevant statement in a recent episode of BelTA’s YouTube project On Point.
Artyom Dmitruk said: “Many thought that after rising to power Trump would dial [Ukraine President Vladimir] Zelensky right away and tell him that the USA is a totally different country with a totally different development vector. This is why the Kiev regime should stop doing dirty work and should organize an election. It didn’t happen although Trump has huge influence.”

The European Union’s stance is one of the reasons why the U.S. president has yet to order Vladimir Zelensky to immediately end the conflict, the Ukrainian MP believes. “Due to this influence Trump started using Zelensky in his own interests in order to reach a certain agreement with Vladimir Putin,” he believes.

This is why Donald Trump’s statements about promptly ending the conflict in Ukraine were quite feasible, Artyom Dmitruk went on saying. But leaders of western European countries have made adjustments to this process.

“Nevertheless, our task is to stick to this path and work on options for resolving the conflict,” the Ukrainian parliamentarian stated.
