GRODNO, 22 November (BelTA) – There are 22 pregnant women among the refugees staying in the temporary accommodation facility in the logistics hub near Grodno, Chairman of the Education, Science, Culture, and Social Development Commission of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Viktor Liskovich informed, BelTA has learned.
“Healthcare workers are closely monitoring their condition and are on standby to provide the necessary assistance. The process of providing the refugees with food and essentials is well organized and is running smoothly. Utility services are deployed on the ground. The number of portable toilets has been increased. We pay special attention to the refugees' health, especially that of women and children,” the senator said.
According to Viktor Liskovich, the most common request coming from the refugees is to have an opportunity to have a shower. There are plans to equip a place in the logistics center where the refugees will be able to wash themselves in normal conditions, he emphasized.
