MINSK, 6 May (BelTA) - The Hungarian and Belarusian peoples are kin nations standing for peace, Chairman of the Hungarian Workers' Party Gyula Turmer said in an interview to ONT TV channel, BelTA has learned.
“Our peoples are very close. We have no claims to each other. The Hungarian and Belarusian peoples love peace. Both we and you survived the Second World War. We do not want a repetition of that war,” Gyula Turmer said.
“I remember that in 2020 Prime Minister Viktor Orban was the only one from the European Union who traveled to Belarus to meet with the Belarusian president,” the Hungarian politician added.
