Truck throughput of Polish, Lithuanian, Latvian checkpoints at Belarus border below agreed numbers

MINSK, 16 September (BelTA) – Over the last 24 hours the Polish side completely failed to honor agreements concerning truck passage across the border while Lithuania and Latvia partially failed to process the number of trucks coming from Belarus that bilateral agreements specify, BelTA has learned.

According to the State Border Committee of Belarus, 390 semi-trailer trucks are waiting to leave Belarus right now.

Bilateral agreements specify how many trucks a border checkpoint is supposed to let through over a certain period of time. The lowest percentage of 10.4% was registered at the Lithuanian border checkpoint Tverecius (Vidzy on the Belarusian side) while the highest percentage of 89% was registered at the Polish border checkpoint Bobrowniki (Berestovitsa on the Belarusian side).

Trucks could leave Belarus for Ukraine without problems.
