MINSK, 4 December (BelTA) – The Council of Ministers' Resolution No. 864 as of 30 November 2018 has adjusted the way tolls should be paid for using Belarusian toll roads, BelTA has learned from the website of the government.
The deposit for an on-board unit (OBU) and remainder of a prepayment on the OBU should be transferred to the central budget in the event when the prepayment is not to be paid back to toll road users (if an OBU is damaged or not returned, or if the remaining prepayment is not claimed back by vehicle users within three years since the last transaction).
Apart from that, new toll roads were added to the BelToll system on 1 December. The BelToll system now includes two sections of motorway M6/E28 Minsk-Grodno-border with the Republic of Poland (Bruzgi checkpoint) (from 57thkm to 134thkm, from 196thkm to 212thkm) and section P28 Minsk-Molodechno-Naroch (from 12thkm to 32ndkm).
The document was passed in line with Decree No. 426 as of 27 September 2012 “On certain issues concerning the collection of tolls for the use of the toll road network in the Republic of Belarus”.
